Day #2

*DISCLAIMER {In Regards to the 30 Challenge}: These people aren't listed in any particular order. They're all people who I love and have impacted my life. So, please don't be offended if I don't get to you until later in the month. Or if I don't get to you. I probably love you, but alas, I can only do 30 people!*

Marco

Marco is my dog. And my best friend. I am closer to him than anyone else on the entire earth. He hears every secret, every thought, every insecurity. I tell him what I do wrong, I tell him what I do right. I laugh with him, I cry with him. I know this probably sounds like I'm loony, but he really understands me in the way only an animal can. He loves unconditionally and he always knows how to make me feel better. We share a birthday and a bond. He's the greatest.

Day #1

Mis Padres

I have to start off my little 30 Day adventure with the people who have been my biggest influence and biggest fans. My parents :)

here they are folks:

My mom is on the right. She's great. Her name is Andrea {but family calls her Annie}.
Here is why I love her:

-she laughs. if you haven't heard it, you wouldn't understand. but, if you have, you understand all too well. her laugh makes the joke fifty two times funnier.

-she snuggles. i'm pretty sure this is where my whole family gets it from, well, except the boys. but me and all my sisters love nothing more than to curl up together and watch a movie, usually getting all five of us {mom, kate, amy, lissa, and me} on one couch or luv sac.

-she believes in me. being a teenage girl, it is super easy to feel like you're not enough, like you don't matter, and that you'll never be important. my mom makes me feel like the exact opposite. she's always there to give me a hug, rub my back, and tell me to keep my chin up.

My dad is on the left. He's swell. His name is Lance {but most people call him Bishop}. Here is why I love him.

-he sings. my dad loves to sing, and he is really good at it. he's got an amazing, high, clear tenor voice, and i love nothing more than to hear him in the ward choir. he's probably where me and amy get our love of singing.

-he's a genius. whether he's helping me with my ap calculus and doing the hard questions in fifteen seconds flat, or wasting the entire family at five crowns or rook, his mind amazes me.

-he's hardworking. my dad is the most honest, hard working man i have ever met. he's so dedicated and diligent with everything. he understands the value of hard work, and he doesn't believe in doing anything half way. he doesn't believe in doing anything less than 112%. he's my inspiration.

My parents are the most incredible people in the entire world and I love them very much. They definitely have changed {and continue to change} my life.

Two items of business. . .

Numero Uno: What bugs me more than anything else in the world is when people take things too lightly. For instance, when they don't show the proper respect to our National Anthem. Like maybe they start singing along during a school assembly. And then, perhaps they start replacing words with curse words. Anyway, it's offensive and it bugs.

Numero Dos: On a happier note, my 30 day challenge begins tomorrow! I'm going to blog everyday about someone who has significantly impacted my life. I'm super excited and hope I'll actually stick with it! (I can be a little bit of a flake, so I don't know. . . )

Anyway, Happy Saturday to all! Enjoy your sleeping in!

30 Day Challenge

Okay, So I know this is lame-ish to start a blog post titled "30 day Challenge" and not have an actual challenge that I am taking part in. The thing is, with musical being over, I have so much time on my hands now! I'd really like to do something semi-productive with my newfound leisure time (instead of just hulu-ing all day like I do now. . . .)
SO!
I decided to enlist myself in a 30 Day Challenge. Not sure what it's going to be, but 30 days seems exactly the right amount of time for some soul searching or personal betterment, don't you think? I have a few ideas of what I might want to do, but nothing concrete.
Here's what I'm thinking so far:
-30 Days as a vegetarian (this is going to be difficult, because I LOVE MEAT.)
-30 Days on a Facebook Fast
-30 Days blogging every day about someone who has changed my life.
-30 Days of making a new friend daily
-30 Days of writing and mailing a "snail mail" letter.
Let me know which of these ideas you think would be cool, or if you have any ideas of your own! Today is Wednesday the 25th, and I'm hoping to start on Sunday the 30th so I should finish on the 1st of March. I hope to keep everyone updated through my blog, so cross your fingers and let's hope I finish it!

Yesterday was a good day

Why? One item from my bucket list: CHECK.

Cinderelly Cinderelly

So this is like WAAY late, but better late than never, right? Anyway, Cinderella turned out so much better than I thought it would. I already miss musical soo much. Musical kids are the best kinds of kids. Here are some pics to show you just how true that is (and to make you insanely jealous if you're not one of the privileged few lucky enough to be in musical).

On a completely unrelated topic, Amy got her wedding shoes today! No time for details, I'll just tell you that it included Amy and me stalking mailmen. But they're here! And super cute.

Little Slice Of Heaven :)

Yesterday I was in a terrible mood. Seriously. It was scary business. Things were kinda frustrating (I was sick, sleep deprived, stressed, and thought I was going to fail all my classes) but nothing was that bad. It was mainly my mood.
SO. Today, I decided everything was going to be great. AND IT WAS.
Here's a list of all the COMPLETELY INCREDIBLE things that made my day so great.

- My beautiful mother let me sleep in this morning :)
- I was totally stressing about my semester final in English, but I actually did pretty good, and it brought me up to an A in the class!
- We're singing the most gorgeous songs in choir, including two of my favorite MoTab songs.
- Tiphgirl let me go to my favorite restaurant for lunch: WINGERS, where we got WAAY too much food and only ate about one third of our meals, but it's okay because we got FREE ASPHALT PIE!!
- I realized that I have the best friend in the entire world. Really, she listens at the right moments and talks when I need her to, and always says the right things. Don't know what I'd do without her.
- NO MUSICAL TODAY!! Not only did this mean we got to enjoy a lengthy lunch at Wingers, it means that today I spent LESS time at the school than at my house!! (No musical or work, so I got to go home like a normal person!)
- MY BRIDESMAID DRESS CAME!! It's not the right color, so we have to send it back, but I got to try on a pretty dress :)
- I looked at my grades, and I did better on my history test than I thought, so I got a 4.0 this term (which for me is a PRETTY big deal)
- I had no homework or other responsibilities, so I read for an hour, then took a lovely (and much needed) THREE HOUR NAP.
- When I awoke, my once again glorious mother got me a Cafe Rio Salad for dinner. Yum :) I was way too stuffed from lunch to eat anything, but now I have a tasty dinner for tomorrow!
- While Mom and Amy ran off to go work on wedding stuff, my mom commanded me to go take a luxurious bubble bath :)
- Said bubble bath was taken while listening to my favorite artists: Taylor Swift, Mindy Gledhill, Kate Nash, Ingrid Michaelson, Regina Spektor, and Sara Bareilles.
- Nothing else I need to do, so I shall go to bed at a lovely 9:00 p.m.
- Plus, Cinderella tomorrow and I know Tiff is going to kick trash! She is so talented!

Really, today was the best day ever. I know my Heavenly Father had a big part in it :) He's always looking out for me!

It seems like everyone and their dog is blogging today. So I might as well join them!!
Few quick thoughts that have entered my mind in the last two minutes:

1) Naps = good. Being woken up from naps prematurely = bad.

2) Apparently you can be way strange in musical and people mistake it for charm and wit. Who knew.

3) The attraction chain goes: squinkle, crinkle, crush, "like", love.

4) If you perhaps have a slight squinkle. . . okay, a small crinkle. . . oh, who are we kidding, it's a crush, folks. . . . anyway. If you have a crush on a certain boy, and sometimes it becomes hard to form coherent sentences around him, it is not a good idea to try to say something clever. You will end up mumbling something that does not make any sense, and may not even be English. So just stick to nodding and smiling. You'll thank me later.

5) I am falling in love with this song. I'm sure a lot of other people have discovered this song EONS ago and I am finally catching up to the bandwagon and hopping aboard, but really. I like it. Let's face it, I just like Kate Nash. She's swell.

6) While homework is NOT fun, alas, it is necessary to go to college, and I would REALLY like to be able to go to the college of my choosing. So right now would probably be a good time to go finish my U.S. History homework. . .

7) I wish my family was this cool.

Wacky, wonderful, weakening weekend!

So my weekend was basically just as busy as my normal week (for you ladies and gents out there who don't know: MY WEEK IS CRAZY BUSY.) This weekend we opened CINDERELLA!!! *cue orchestrated music* The whole cast did super good and I had a blast. Then, Friday night I had my VERY FIRST STOMP in my high school career (btw, it totally bugs me when people say "high school career". Really. I don't know why. Anyway. . . )
It was super fun. Me and Tiph dressed up and went right after Cinderella got out. We looked like NCPs, but that's okay. I don't know how to dance at all, so I just looked like an idiot. I partied pretty hard with Dallas, Tiph, and Jess, and I even threw down a little Gavotte with Grace (p.s. LOVE HER.)
It was pretty cool.
Also, as a side note, Cinderella is turning out to be WAAAY better than I thought it was going to see. So you should come experience it for your visual and audio enjoyment. I promise you will be delighted.
OH. AND ALSO. I know that I look like a demented hobo in the picture of me and Grace, but you know what? I don't care.
