What a fun week! I've been super busy, so I haven't really had time to blog.
Let me tell you a little about the fun I've been up to since we last spoke.
FRIDAY
After the whole tree house business, we headed over to Steph's house to swim and hot tub and ended up getting Dallas some graduation presents. Still can't believe he's graduated. Gonna miss him like crazy next year!
SATURDAY
Joined a few pals (Tiff, Steph, Mia, Tyler, and Kendall) at the "B" where we got into a super fun paint fight, then headed off to the Stomp On Main to party. What a blast.
I did have an allergic reaction to the paint. Whoops.
SUNDAY
Recovered from my party weekend :)
MONDAY
Not much happened Monday, except that I began the long process of emptying my room. We're redoing my room this summer, so that means I had to remove every single item of clothing, small knickknack, or large piece of furniture my room contained. Not super fun, but I'm excited to see how the awkward room I lived in may transform.
TUESDAY
I have a friend. A very talented friend. Her name is Tiffany.
Tiffany is a photographer.
I had the wonderful opportunity to help her shoot three pretty girls (Mia, Steph, and Tyler).
Not with a gun, with a camera.
It was super fun helping do hair and makeup and pick out clothes and yes she got some awkward shots of me in a bath towel. No big.
WEDNESDAY
My best friend got his mission call. I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am for him. He will be an incredible missionary, and the people of Roseville, California are the luckiest people in the world. Good luck, Dallas!!
Yes, I had my first official rehearsal for The Crazy Escape.
It was everything I thought it would be.
There was awkward laughter, strange styles, overemphasis of words, and some kid I didn't know touched my feet. But that's life for ya.
At least no one stole my script and licked it. Sorry Tiff.
I did however lose my script....so I'll should probably check and see if I left it in Tiff's car or at Kendall's house. Oops.
THURSDAY
I had the opportunity to go on a date with my good ol' pal Kendall Clinger. He's just a hoot and a half. The gang (Me&Kendall, Landon&Trisha, Dallas&Riley, and Mat&WXSophomore) went mini golfing at Cherry Hill.
I am not coordinated.
Thus I was not very good.
But it was still fun.
I did lose my ball in bushes or shrubs at least four times and get my golf club stuck in the wall twice, as well as make more than a few unintelligent comments, but I did have a fun time.
Kendall's a super great guy and he makes me laugh a lot, so the night was quite an enjoyable one.
FRIDAY
Second official Friday Morning Breakfast. Forgot my camera, so I didn't get pics. Sad day.
It was also Riley's birthday! Yay Riley! She's 17. What a geezer.
After breakfast I went with the sibs to take pictures for my daddy's Father Day gift.
There's 5 kids in my family and 5 letters in my last name, so we did this little creative diddy where we took pictures with letters. (Kate was the "R", Amy and G were the "E", Lucy was the "G", I was the "I", and Tommy was the "S").
It's cute, promise. Hope they turned out all right!
SATURDAY
Ripped out the carpet and ceiling from my bedroom. Then, took a crowbar to the closet. Wow. My room looks so scary and empty and abandoned right now. All my stuff is basically strewn about the family room, so it looks like we should be on Hoarders right now.
Also, my beautiful cousin Amber got married and I went to her reception.
Congrats Amber and Yami!
SUNDAY
Hey, that's today! Whoa! Did the whole WakeUp/GetReady/GoToChurch thing.
Then, after all the biz, I walked the boulevard with my good friend Hanna Cutler.
I just adore her. She is so cute and kind and happy. What a delight.
Yes, we had a few awkward run ins. But that's just what happens when you roll with me.
I'm getting tired just thinking about facing another week full of adventure and awkwardness and friends and laughter and all that good stuff that means summer. But I can't wait.
Sorry this post is so long, definitely didn't mean to drag on and on.
I have lots of pictures to accompany these events, but I didn't want to scare anyone away with too formidable a length. I'll post 'em sometime soon.
Hope your summer is going fantastically! Hey, by the way, don't be a stranger. Ring me up. Keep in touch. I need human communication this summer.
Over and out.
